Meg Ryan is seen in a rare public appearance, surprised at the change suffered over the years

Meg Ryan made a rare public appearance in New York, as she appeared to support Michael J. Fox in promoting his new documentary "Still."
The "Sleepless in Seattle" star, 61, posed for photos with Fox, however, some fans on social media were confused by the actress' appearance, saying she was "unrecognizable" - and may have had some surgical changes.
"What has Meg Ryan done to her face?" asked a confused fan.

“Is it really Meg Ryan? If so, that's a shame and incredibly sad," wrote another.
Meanwhile, many cruel fans claimed that the "When Harry Met Sally" star was starting to resemble Madonna, 64, who has also surprised with the change in her face.

Ryan rarely appears in public. Wednesday's outing was her first media event in more than six months.
The Hollywood star has not spoken publicly about whether or not she has had any cosmetic surgery, despite speculation about her appearance for more than a decade.

In 2016, The Huffington Post published an article titled "Meg Ryan's Face Is None of Our Business," after the actress trended on Twitter after appearing at that year's Tony Awards.
Ryan hasn't been seen in a film on screen since 2015's "Ithaca," yet the star thrilled fans last year by announcing he was returning to his romantic comedy roots.

Ryan, long known as the queen of the genre, announced that she would star in and direct the romantic comedy "What Happens After."
David Duchovny has also been attached to star in the project, although production details have not yet been released. /Telegraph/
