Luka Modric has accepted Florentino Perez's offer to return to Real Madrid

Although he continues to play at the highest level, Luka Modric (40) is considering his next steps after retiring from professional football.
The Croatian master is planning a return to Real Madrid, but is in no rush to make a decision, considering he is still putting in excellent performances with Milan, at the age of 41.
According to Defensa Central, his return to his beloved club is certain, but at the moment he has other priorities. The Spanish media writes with the headline: "Modric accepted, then postponed his return to Real Madrid."

Reports suggest that Modric has accepted an offer from president Florentino Perez to return to Madrid after his career ends, either as a club ambassador or as a coach. However, his idea is to first take a year off to devote himself to his family after leaving Milan.
After this period, Modrić plans to attend coaching courses, with the aim of taking over one of the new categories in the Real Madrid academy. Working with children is a great desire for him, and he sees this as the ideal start to his coaching career, Spanish journalists write.
Focus on Milan and the World Cup
Although the plan to return to Madrid is clear, Modric is aware that things could change. His performances with Milan are still at an extremely high level, and the club is very pleased with his contribution.
According to Spanish media, the player and the club are expected to discuss the future in detail over the coming months.
Modric's main goal, however, remains the next World Cup, where he wants to say goodbye to the Croatian national team in the best possible way and take it as far as possible.

A legend on and off the field
Luka Modric's career has been spectacular. He will be remembered as one of the best midfielders in the history of world football.
During his years at the highest level, he rejected much more financially lucrative offers, while maintaining an unbreakable bond with Real Madrid and the Croatia national team.

Modric has won a record 28 trophies with Real Madrid, while with Croatia he has taken second and third place in the World Cups, as well as second place in the Nations League. /Telegraph/
