"I had a meaningful conversation with the US President. We spoke at length about the possibilities for achieving peace, discussed our willingness to work together as a team, and Ukraine's technological capabilities, including drones and other advanced industries. I am grateful to President Trump for his interest in what we can achieve together," Zelensky initially wrote.

"We also talked about preparing a new document on security, economic cooperation and resource partnership. President Trump shared details from his conversation with Putin."

He said the conversation went "very well" and that "he, like President (Vladimir) Putin, wants to make peace," the Telegraph reports.

He confirms that further talks with Ukrainian leaders will be held during the Munich Security Conference this Friday, which will be led on the US side by Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. /Telegraph/
