Five-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi doesn't seem to be staying at Barcelona forever.
The Argentine striker is close to extending his contract with the Catalan club until 2022.
The year 2022 is expected to be his last year in La Liga and Catalonia.
The Argentine star hopes to one day make his dream come true to play in his homeland.
He has stated that his big dream is to wear the Newell's Old Boys jersey.
"I don't know where I will be in my future because it's too early to know," Messi said.
"My great wish is to one day wear the Newell's Old Boys jersey because I dreamed of this as a child," Messi told Argentine television station TyC Sports.
Recall that Messi joined Barcelona in 2000 from the youth team of Newell's Old Boys to write history with the Catalan club.
The 30-year-old is in excellent form, scoring 16 goals in all competitions this season and providing five assists. /Telegraph/
