Azet like no other, his emotional song dedicated to his mother with touching lyrics based on real events - from escaping the war in Kosovo, to prison, to the peak of success with the album "Fast Life"

We see them making songs where they describe their luxurious life with many women. We are talking about Albanian rappers who have long since left social and family values to one side, preferring mostly commercial songs without really approaching their lives and journey to success.
A song for the mother! What no one has done so far from the Albanian hip hop scene, another Albanian did on an even bigger stage, that of the world, not being ashamed as he reflects his reality where he came from, all the difficulties one of one.
This is Granit Musa from Pristina, or known to the world public as Azet, who in an excellent video clip brings a song dedicated to his mother, where he reflects the difficult life that his family and especially his mother had.
The "Mama" project is not only in German, part of its pre-chorus is in Albanian, with the words "I left my life for you, oj nane", which proves the rapper's love for his mother.
The song is composed by Dennis Kor and Dj A-Boom in music, while the lyrics are of course performed by the rapper himself, while the video clip is an excellent example of how video production can bring back the past graphically.
But since the project is in German, Telegraph bring the text of this song in a narrative form, since it is rare to see Albanian rappers singing about family, the difficulties of life and the reality they went through on their way to success.
[Part 1]
Egal, wohin ëir geh'n, Bruderherz, Mama vermisst uns
Translation
[Part 1]
We must run away from our hometown, it will be a mistake,
But I love you in your arms, mom, miles away
We're half frozen, but your kiss keeps me warm
I was born with seizures...
We crossed eight states, away from the hard life
And when your mother died, mom, you were only 16
You were strong, even when your father was killed in the war
Even then, when my father in the carriage remained
Your tears fill a sea, I was very guilty
It doesn't matter, where are we going, brother, mother misses us
Sorry, but we have to try and get on the road again
For brown eyes like my sister's eyes
The meaning of the first part:
Azet and his family had to leave Kosovo due to the war in Kosovo in 1998 in order to find a better life in Germany. The rapper talks about the difficulties of emigrating from Kosovo, where his mother suffered through the cold and through many difficulties crossing eight different countries.
He says that luxury is not something exceptional for him, since he has worked hard for it and that for him the road started from scratch. During this first part of the text, Azet talks about the difficulties his mother had after his grandmother died when he was only 16 years old, and soon after, Azet's grandfather was also killed in the Kosovo war, and these difficulties continued after Azet's father was in a wheelchair for people with special needs.
"Your tears fill a sea, I was very guilty", shows that the tears of Azeti's mother on the way through his growth as a troubled boy and other life events could fill a sea. Meanwhile, the rapper concludes the first part by showing how little he stayed close to his mother in search of a better life on the street, while the brown money he mentions symbolizes the 50 euro currency that has the same color as his sister's.

[Pre-chorus 1]
Translation
[Pre-chorus 1]
I love the way you laugh, just your will makes me proud
Yes, you are my strength, not my success and millions
Let's go, you come along on our journey
I exchange wealth, money, for health, for you, Mama.
Meaning of pre-chorus 1:
Azet in his pre-chorus shows that his mother gives him strength and not the money and success he has in hip hop, while he says that he would give everything he has achieved for her and her health.

[Chorus]
Ich dank' Gott für all die Krisen
Translation
[Chorus]
I thank God for all crises
Until death my family
I wonder, when would she be satisfied? (us, us, us, us)
Always when they close the doors (na, na, na, na).
The meaning of the refrain:
Azet thanks God for all the crises in his life, because they have made him stronger and rise in his career, and he says that he will stay close to his family until death, while he knows that his mother she would be happy that he would always come home early, and not with his success and money.

[Part 2]
Translation
[Part 2]
You are the first to wake up and the last to fall asleep
Because he waits for me until I come and cooks me bread at midnight
I don't sleep because your son is on the road and he is not full
With days on the scale, I packed a lot
A little while later, I also fired a gun, then came the arrest
At that time mom and dad didn't know what I was doing,
But you were still there in tears on the day of the visit
No one knows my life like you, Mom
The meaning of the second part:
Azet talks about his life as a teenager in the midst of a financial crisis that he and his family went through. Staying long on the street and close to negative phenomena, he often tells how he was hungry and his mother was waiting for him at home to cook him food even after midnight.
The rapper tells how he dealt with the sale and purchase of narcotics, where he was involved in problems with other groups and what led him to be arrested and put in prison. In spite of everything he did, he recounts how his mother was always by his side during the days of the visit to the prison under tears, for a life that according to the rapper only his mother knows.
[Pre-chorus 2 (sings in Albanian)]
He gave up his life for you, my mother
He gave up his life for you, my mother
He left his life for you, only for you, mom
He left his life for you, only for you, mom

Who is AZET?
Azet was born on March 6, 1993 in Kosovo, while his real name is Granit Musa and he lives in Dresden.
His parents left Kosovo and settled in Dresden in the Prohlis neighborhood. At school, he introduced Ali, with whom he formed the rap group KMN in 2010, a group of which he is also the master, along with rappers Nash, Zuna and Miami Yacine.
In the beginning, Azet had the stage name Azphalt, while Ali, who is now called Nash, had the stage name Achillez at the time. After a while, Zuna joined the group. At that time, in training to become a restaurant manager, Azet was sentenced to two years and eight months in prison in October 2015 for the sale and purchase of narcotics and bodily harm, while he was released from time to time, since the announcement of the decision after He remained in custody since May, and was finally released on April 4, 2018.
Azet was sentenced after he was caught with seven kilograms of marijuana and had stabbed another person after a beating in the process.
"My client is responsible and accepts all the charges", lawyer Endrik Wilhelm explained to the judge at that time the sincerity of Azet, who stood behind his actions, but without being able to clarify why Azet had to deal with the sale and purchase of drugs, while the fight in the discotheque was determined not to be related to narcotics.

Even for the investigators, the reason for the fight was not clear because the person who was killed was no longer interrogated as he died in the meantime after a motorcycle accident.
After spending five months in custody, the judge gave him a sentence of two years and eight months in prison, but he could make visits by special request, and in case such actions of the rapper were to be repeated, the decision would be executed immediately without the possibility of the visit
"Take your life in your hands. The verdict is an early New Year's gift. Make something good out of it", the judge told the Albanian rapper during the sentencing with the possibility of visits with a special permit.
And, Azet used this temporary freedom to make hits in secret.
In prison, with no contact and he managed to be at the top of the charts. The 25-year-old from Pristina with his first album "Fast Life" officially launched on March 30, 2018, reached the first place of the official top list of Germany. And, very late, he was released from prison, on April 4 of this year.
His success and hits were achieved even though he was banned from contacting the other members of the KMN group, a group he also founded.
Recently, the authorities stopped a concert of the very popular rappers Kollegah and Farid Bang due to the fear of a conflict with members of the KMN group, but all this did not stop the group and Azet himself from reaching the top of success.
"Fast Life" topped the charts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as the album was certified Platinum as six other songs from the album became hits.
In this album is the song "Mama", where the rapper described the difficulties he went through from the beginning in his life, where he described the suffering of his mother because of his actions.

A career and real life of a gangster rapper who comes from a past full of difficulties and suffering - Azet is an indicator of what the children of Albanian immigrants in Germany have gone through, how difficult their path to success is.
This naturally means that many young people of this generation who emigrated with their parents or were born in the diaspora find themselves precisely in the rapper, who has left the dark ways in the past to devote himself to musical success and his family and mother to which he sings with so much love...
Above all, Azet never forgot his country. He sang for Kosovo and Albanians in almost every project, and in the summer he performs in Kosovo.
