An international film that will deal with the Kosovo war is expected to gather dozens of famous Hollywood actors, including cinema legend Robert De Niro.

The news was announced by Kosovo producer Fitim Krasniqi, who has been making films for the international market for years.

The new project, according to him, will be based on a very personal story — the sad story of his father, connected to one of the most painful events of the war in Kosovo.

In an interview with Blendi Fevziu, Krasniqi confirmed that Robert De Niro will play the role of his father.

"It's the story of my father, and the massacre of Recak, and the war that happened in Kosovo from beginning to end," he declared.

The producer also emotionally shared the painful story of his father's fate, who was wounded and then burned alive during the war, a story that will now be transformed into a film with a powerful human message.

Krasniqi claimed that 71 Hollywood actors will participate in this project, including Robert De Niro, and that all contracts have already been signed.

He also confirmed that De Niro has agreed to portray the role of his father.

Filming for the film is expected to begin next year, having initially been scheduled to begin this year, but has been postponed for organizational reasons.
