The model who claimed she was raped by powerful men was placed in a psychiatric hospital and disappeared from the public eye: Is she one of Epstein's victims?

In the late 1980s and 1990s, Dutch model Karen Mulder dominated the catwalks and collaborated with respected names in the industry. However, when she claimed in 2001 that powerful men had raped her, including Prince Albert II of Monaco, she disappeared from the public eye.
Mulder has collaborated with many luxury brands, including 'Valentino', 'Versace', 'Yves Saint Laurent', 'Giorgio Armani', 'Chanel', etc. She signed a contract with Victoria's Secret in 1992.
She shared the runway with Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Helena Christensen, Amber Valletta, Stella Tennant and others. When she appeared on the French show "Tout le monde en parle" ("Everybody's Talking About It") in 2001, hosted by Thierry Ardisson, she said she had been raped by multiple men, including police officers, politicians, members of her former agency Elite Model Management and Albert II, Prince of Monaco.

The interview was not broadcast and the recording of the interview was deleted. After that, her parents accused her of drug use. A few days later, Karen Mulder said the same thing in another interview that took place in her apartment in Paris.
Hours later, her sister Saskia took her to the Villa Montsouris psychiatric clinic, where she stayed for five months. Her stay was reportedly paid for by the former CEO of Elite Model Management, Gérald Marie, who had previously been caught on hidden camera by the BBC offering the 15-year-old money for sex.
She had suffered from chronic depression for years and in December 2002 fell into a coma after attempting suicide by taking an overdose of sleeping pills. Her neighbors called an ambulance and her ex-fiancé Jean-Yves Le Fur reportedly arrived. She was taken to hospital and woke up from the coma the next day.
In July 2009, it was reported that she was arrested in Paris for threatening to attack a plastic surgeon. She has not been seen in public for a long time.
Given the numerous documents released about convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, many people are speculating whether Karen Mulder had hinted in 2001 that she was among his victims. /Telegraph/
