Violence against women, recidivist and imprisoned for three years - is Jozi Marku's shocking file revealed in Switzerland?

After the serious incident that occurred in the semi-final of Big Brother VIP Albania 4, where Jozefin Marku (Jozi) physically hit the artist Gjesti, disturbing information about his past off-camera has begun to circulate in the media.

A shocking dossier has been discovered about Jozi, shedding light on his criminal history for violence against women, long before he became part of the most watched reality show in Albania.

According to reliable sources for "Prive by Liberta Spahiu", a former partner of Jozi - an Albanian woman - has denounced him for physical violence, as it is suspected that the events took place while they were living together in Switzerland. After her denunciation, he was arrested and, as it is learned, remained in prison for nearly three years, from 2020 to 2023, precisely during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Swiss lawyers, consulted by the media, have stated that such long sentences for violence only occur in repeated cases and with strong evidence, which raises even more concern about his recidivist behavior.

The source close to his ex-partner stressed that after his imprisonment, Jozi and his ex-partner had no further contact, while the place where he served his sentence was one of the French-speaking cantons of Switzerland.

This development casts a heavy shadow over the decision to include Jozi as a participant in Big Brother VIP, raising strong questions about the filters and the process of selecting residents, especially when it comes to a figure with a criminal record for violence against women.

The public and human rights activists are now demanding transparency from the production, as social media has been filled with harsh reactions following the revelations and the live-streamed incident. Violence, both on and off screen, has no place on any media platform – it is the message that is being reinforced by more and more voices. /Telegrafi/
