The technology giant Google will not renew the contract with the Pentagon regarding the production of content for artificial intelligence.

The company's decision is facing fierce opposition. A number of the company's workers have resigned as a sign of protest to participate in the Pentagon project, as a result of the damage they feel is being caused by artificial intelligence.

According to sources within this company, quoted by The Guardian, Telegrafi reports, executive director Diane Greene has told the staff that there will be no renewal of the contract with the Pentagon, after its expiration that happened in March of this year.

However, Kate Conger, a journalist who covers developments in technology, has told the BBC that it is not true that Google has stopped the artificial intelligence project.

The value of the contract is reported to be around 10 million US dollars. /Telegraph/
