The ship is apparently owned by the widow of the founder of the giant technology company. She was widowed when Apple founder Steve Jobs died aged 56 of pancreatic cancer in October 2011. They have three children together.
Fenty, the mayor of Washington DC between 2007 and 2011, officially announced his separation from his wife of 15 years, Michelle, in January 2013. They also have three children. The two are believed to have met at an education conference in Houston in 2011 and collaborated on school reform; Powell is the founder of the Emerson Collective, which supports education reform.
A year later, Fenty joined the board of College Track, a nonprofit program for addicted students who wanted to go to college that was co-founded by Laurene Poweel Jobs.
Laurene Powell married Steve Jobs two years after meeting him while he was working at Stanford Business School while she was a student there.
Their wedding took place in March 1991 at a hotel in Yosemite Valley, and the ceremony was officiated by a Buddhist monk, Kobun Chino Otogawa, in accordance with Jobs' religious beliefs.
Their oldest child, a son named Reed, was born six months later, and the couple had two daughters, Erin and Eva, in the following years.
Steve and Lautene were married for 20 years and after his death, she inherited a fortune of about 10 billion dollars. Despite being one of the richest women in the US, she continues with her charity work.
When Steve Jobs passed away in October 2011, most of his assets passed to his wife, making him one of the 50 richest people in the world. She owns, among other things, two private jets, four real estate properties and shares in the Walt Disney Company and Apple.
Today, Powell Jobs is the sixth richest woman in the world according to Forbes, after French L'Oreal shareholder Liliane Bettencourt, Wal-Mart heiress Alice Walton, Mars heiress Jacqueline Mars, widow Maria Franca Fissolo and Michele Ferrero and German BMW heiress Susanne Klatten.
