Floods in 2024, Tetovo Municipality completes documentation for compensation

The damages caused by floods and hail in Tetovo in 2024, amounting to 63 million denars, were voted on in the municipal council today.

After that, it is expected to be submitted to the government commission for evaluation. Farmers have reacted several times for compensation for damages. The government commission said weeks ago that the documentation was returned to the municipality of Tetovo several times after it was not completed properly.

"The damage assessment commission has assessed the damage in two categories, household goods are at 7 million 330 thousand denars, while the assessment of damage to perennial and annual crops is at 55 million 776 thousand denars. That is, the total assessment is at 62 million 790 thousand denars.

"We, as a municipal commission, will submit all documents, along with the assessment based on the methodology, to the state commission and await further instructions," said Festim Zeqiri.
