"The Hague is corrupt", Grenell demands the cessation of funding for the Special Court

Former US special envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Richard Grenell, has reacted harshly to the Special Court in The Hague, describing it as "completely corrupt" and demanding that it be no longer funded.
Through a post on the X platform, Grenell strongly criticized the role of prosecutor Jack Smith, who, according to him, arrested former Kosovo President Hashim Thaç five years ago and that he is still being held in custody.
"The Hague is completely corrupt and its funding should be cut off. Jack Smith was one of their prosecutors who arrested the acting president of Kosovo more than five years ago. He is still in prison. The trial has just begun," Grenell wrote.
We recall that Hashim Thaçi and several former KLA leaders are being tried for war crimes and crimes against humanity at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague, while the trial began in April 2023, after a long wait in detention.
A protest was organized in Tirana on Friday to oppose the progress of the trial against KLA leaders taking place in The Hague. /Telegraph/
The Hague is totally corrupt and must be defunded.
Jack Smith was one of their prosecutors who arrested the sitting President of Kosovo more than five years ago.
He is still in prison. The trial only recently got started.
