Cabbage meatballs as a meatless lunch idea

The preparation is simple, and you will repeat the recipe several times, especially when you do not want to prepare meat or fish

Ingredients:

- 100 g stale bread;
- 1,5 dcl of milk;
– 5 g of spice mixture or salt;
- pepper;
- half a spoonful of ground sweet pepper;
– a large onion;
- 1 clove of garlic;
- 5 g of salt;
- 250 g of green cabbage
- eggs
- 100 g of bread crumbs

Preparation:

1. Mix the bread, milk, ground sweet pepper, a little pepper and the spice mix or salt.

2. Boil or marinate the onion and garlic, to which you have sprinkled a little salt, for ten minutes.

Cut the leafy cabbage, soak and drain and add the onion with the essence of garlic.

Boil or marinate for another 5 minutes.

3. Add 2 dcl of water and boil for another 10 minutes, then add the same amount of water and continue for 15 minutes so that the liquid is completely reduced.

4. The cabbage should definitely start to boil and then remove it from the heat and add the bread and milk mixture.

Mix everything well and add breadcrumbs and eggs and again mix well and give the shape of meatballs - roll in breadcrumbs.

Fry on both sides for a few minutes until golden.

Wrap briefly in paper towels to absorb excess fat.

Serve with tomatoes, potato salad, French fries or something similar, as desired.
