KSF contribution to Ukraine: General Jashari and NATO Deputy Commander in Naples discuss support and training

The Commander of the Kosovo Security Force, Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, received today in a meeting Lieutenant General Peter K. Scott, Deputy Commander of the Joint Forces Command Naples (DCOM JFCNP).

General Jashari briefed General Scott on the overall security situation in the region and in the Republic of Kosovo, the Kosovo Security Force announced.

General Jashari also briefed General Scott on the achievements of the KSF in line with the Comprehensive Transition Plan (CTP), and on the development of the KSF's capacities in the functional combat areas towards achieving full operational capabilities, in order to fulfill the KSF's mission.


According to the announcement, General Jashari also emphasized the contribution of the KSF in the international arena in maintaining peace and security, including the deployments of the KSF abroad.

The meeting discussed the KSF's support for Ukraine in line with the objectives of NATO and its member states.

"More specifically, General Jashari informed General Scott about the KSF's contribution to the training of Ukrainian troops, combat duties in the "INTERFLEX" operation and the training of Ukrainian contingents in EOD. General Jashari expressed his readiness to increase cooperation between the KSF and KFOR," the announcement further states.

General Scott congratulated General Jashari for his work and commitment in the professional development and advancement of the KSF, and thanked him for his cooperation and constructiveness in maintaining peace and security in the Republic of Kosovo.

At the end of the meeting, the two generals agreed to further increase cooperation in the future.
