1503:"Pic shows: Moment driver Mei Ru knocks hubby Song Ming to the ground. A woman who flattened her husband after reversing a car over him outside a supermarket is being treated for shock. Driver Mei Ru, 50, and hubby Song Ming, 53, were going shopping when she parked the car outside the store in Fuzhou city in southeast China’s Fujian province. Footage from a security camera shows Song then getting out of the passenger side of the family sedan and walking behind it just as Mei reverses, knocking him to the ground and running straight over him. Horrified passerby Kuan Tseng, 32, said: "It seemed that she had already parked the car so when he stood behind it there didn’t seem to be any danger. "But then the car reversed and he screamed out as it knocked him to the ground. "I ran over to see if he was ok but he was unconscious. "The woman was hysterical and begging him to wake up. "But I think he was already dead." Song was rushed to hospital where he was taken into an operating theatre but died shortly after arriving. A hospital spokesman said: "The force of his head hitting the ground and then the car running over his body was too much. "Sadly he died from massive internal bleeding and crushed ribs. "His wife is grief-stricken and is being treated by doctors here for shock." A police spokesman said: "When we interviewed the woman she was completely distraught but she said had wanted to straighten the car up and she wasn’t aware her husband was behind her."
