Natasha Krstevska Caleva appointed acting head of the High Public Prosecutor's Office of Skopje

The Council of Public Prosecutors has appointed Natasha Kërstevska Caleva as Acting Chief Public Prosecutor at the High Public Prosecutor's Office of Skopje, until the election of the new head of this prosecutor's office, but not longer than six months.
The appointment of the Acting High Public Prosecutor at the High Public Prosecutor's Office in Skopje was the first and only item on the agenda of today's 33rd session of the Council of Public Prosecutors.
The Council of Public Prosecutors earlier this week, on December 9, made a decision to terminate the duties of prosecutor Mustafa Hajrullahi, former head of the High Public Prosecutor's Office of Skopje, in accordance with his personal request.
Hajrullahi was suspended after the Basic Public Prosecution Office in Stip filed an indictment for five criminal offenses: "ill-treatment while performing duty" and one for "abuse of official position and authority."
He categorically denied all charges, claiming that the case is tendentious and politically fabricated with the aim of dismissing him, linking the procedure to his actions regarding the bonuses of the Special Prosecution Office.
