The "Rama 4" economic program focuses on sustainable, year-after-year growth of the economy, as well as increasing salaries and pensions for citizens.

The promise is that, in January 2026, the minimum wage will reach 500 euros/month.

Delina Ibrahimaj, Minister of Economy and Innovation, said that this new level is in line with developments in economic sectors, while explaining that businesses will not pay additional costs in 18 months as a result of this increase.

"A salary of 500 euros is a figure that is affordable for all sectors of the economy. Therefore, our studies have shown that this salary level is achievable. Above all, part of our program is that with the increase in the minimum wage to 500 euros gross, private enterprise will not have additional costs, so business will not pay more social or health contributions for the first 18 months of implementation," Ibrahimaj explained to Vizion Plus.

In parallel, it is predicted that within the next four years the average salary nationwide will reach 1.000 euros, from the current 830 euros.

The public administration will see a further salary increase, which is expected to gradually bring the average salary in the country to 1.200 euros by the end of the mandate.
