The prosecution requests detention for the two arrested for usury in Prizren

The Basic Prosecution Office in Prizren has announced that it has filed a request with the Basic Court in Prizren for a 30-day detention order against EK and AK, who are currently in 48-hour detention, due to suspicion that they have committed the criminal offenses of "Usurpation" and "Coercion".
According to the prosecution, since 2021, the defendant EK has given money to the victim B.Ç., taking advantage of her difficult financial situation, with significantly disproportionate benefits, while B.Ç. has paid over 400,000 euros in interest alone. Unable to afford the debt, the second victim BB was also included in the scheme, increasing the defendants' claim to 550,000 euros. To secure the amount, the defendants have requested that the victim B.Ç. transfer two business premises and a house worth around one million euros.

The prosecution reports that EK and AK sought the illegal gain of material benefit by using force and threats against the victims, forcing them to go to a private bailiff for notarial procedures, but the police intervened and arrested them.
During the operation, various assets, cash, electronic equipment, contracts, notarial deeds and material evidence related to these criminal offenses were seized.
The Prosecution emphasizes that it remains committed to fighting crime and protecting victims, taking all necessary actions to bring to justice persons who violate the law.
