"Tangerines produced in Albania do not contain any illegal preparations and do not comply with EU norms."

This conclusion has been reached in a report from Italy on Albanian tangerines, published exclusively in Dita Jonë on A2 CNN by expert Ilir Pilku, refuting the news that they contain chemicals, who proved this by consuming tangerines in the studio.

"Last night I received the analyses from Italy. They were sent by express mail and the laboratory analyzes permitted and prohibited preparations. Analyses were conducted for 600 preparations and then the norms... I can leave you a copy, it's 15 pages and you won't find a prohibited preparation. We don't exclude any small farmer who may not have respected the quarantine. I will tell you with all my heart that the mandarins produced in Albania do not contain any prohibited preparations and no kind of norm above the EU norms," he said on A2 CNN.

The expert announced that 14 more samples were sent for analysis today.

"And the sample that my colleagues have taken covers the entire area of Murcia, Xara and Konispol. One of the largest supermarket companies in Europe operates in this area. There is a foreign expert there and he analyzes every type of parcel and has not identified any residues or permitted preparations," he told A2 CNN.

According to him, this is done with the aim of disparaging Albanian products and happens whenever there is production, as with other fruits and vegetables.

"It is not the first time that I have addressed the issue of tangerines and consumed tangerines. We are used to these types of situations, as soon as the Albanian product starts to enter the market, a negative trend begins to muddy production, it is a trade war, a regional war, we are used to tomatoes and peppers in greenhouses in March. We are expecting 40 thousand tons of tangerines from Xara e Mursia, a quality product and what I want to say is that at the moment of harvest", he said on Dita Jonë on A2 CNN.

Meanwhile, technologist Abdyl Sinani advises that tangerines be washed with running water and that no more than 1 kg be consumed.

"When you eat a kg, you reach the norm that harms you. When tangerines are blocked, people should be clear that if you wash a tangerine, 80% goes away with the skin. This 20% is if you eat a kg. It should be washed with running water and the skin should not be used. Warm water indicates that oil comes out on top, then there are additives that are added to preserve the tangerine. We need to explain to the people, wash them, remove the skin, do not eat more than a kg."

Asked how to distinguish mandarins with chemicals, the technologist answers: "Those that are polished and that do not have pits. If you take the mandarin and put it in warm water, it releases oil. That's when you understand that additives have been added. But which ones are harmful and which ones are not? The technologist should do the analysis and then we can talk. That's why the code Lot has been issued that every food product should have, from the ground up. These defects must be fixed one by one." /A2cnn/
