/Telegrafi/
"Perfectionism is a serial killer of happiness" -Brene Brown Sometimes we talk about being a "perfectionist" as being a great thing. We talk about it in job interviews like our biggest problem is that we are really just "too good" at things. But by definition a perfectionist is someone who is only satisfied with perfection. It doesn't mean you're perfect… It means you'll never be willing to take risks, or even try, for fear that you wont be good enough. It means that you'll never be able to fully enjoy the people around you, because they wont be good enough. When you are only satisfied once perfection is achieved, you forfeit enjoying the beauty of growth, the beauty of nature, the beauty of the human condition in general. And to me there is nothing more beautiful in life than that. Photo magic: @kariannphoto Flower crown: @thefauxbouquets Hair: @styled_by_carolynn

Challenging, Dismantling and Eradicating the false belief beliefs keeping you stuck in a downward spiral 3. Establishing a new belief system based on your peace and truth. I will be including Meditations, Yoga, Exercise, Nutrition, Essential Oils, Teas and any other tool that have been my go-to's during my own healing journey. Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over… She became a butterfly. I'm back. And I can't wait to share everything. Also to those who are offended by bodies: I'm a girl. I have boobs. I'm a human. I have nipples. If you peek under your shirt, (most likely) you do too. It's ok. We're ok. I love you. Forgiveness doesn’t mean IT'S OK. Forgiveness means I'M OK. To forgive yourself is to remember who you are. To forgive others is to remember who they are, and your power in any point in time is to remember who you are. Because it is in remembering who you are that you realize- nothing I have done, and nothing you have done can change who I am or who you are. We are all inherently good. We are all works of God And his creations are wholly loving and wholly lovable. And as reminded by the Bhagavad Gita: Fire cannot burn me, water cannot wet me, wind cannot dry me, weapons cannot shatter me; my spirit is eternal, it was never born and will never die. ….talking about Forgiveness in the support group this week. Are you barely breathing and calling it life? Are you hardly eating, pretending to survive? Are you living your life out of guilt, fear and shame? Do you know who you are? Do you know your own name? If no one was watching, if nobody knew would you still do the things that you do? When the people are gone and the pressure is off Are you still as hard? Or are you tender and soft? Do you see yourself in the blossoming flowers? Do you hear yourself in earths monsoon showers? Go look in the mirror, right in your eyes i want you to get it, i want you to realize The only words that matter, the only words that are true are "I AM ENOUGH, and so are you." This world needs your love. This world needs your light. At times we may be tempted to say "I have a reason not to shine right now. I have a reason to withhold love for those who withhold it themselves." Every action is either love or a call for love. Let's teach the world what it looks like to truly LOVE ONE ANOTHER! #prayfororlando #prayforyourenemies #shineyourlight
People tell me all the time that I'm brave for sharing my story. Especially after sharing my latest blog post on rape. (click the link in my bio to read it) But here's the funny thing. I don't share these personal experiences because I'm brave. I share them to become brave. Writing has become my therapy. It helps me to organize my feelings and let them go. With every word I write, I heal that wound just a bit more. And find just a bit more courage. But there's a second part I didn't expect to happen. I didn't expect to find so many friends out there who are experiencing the same pains. And I definitely didn't expect the amount of healing that comes from that knowledge alone. Shared adversity is a powerful thing. During my darkest days, I needed desperately to know that I wasn't alone. The words "me too" were like a cooling balm on recently burned skin. So if being brave enough to let 13,000 people see the skeletons in my closet is what it takes to give even 1 person that healing balm, then I am honored to make that sacrifice. ? Wearing: @aloyoga
I take my clothes off. Not for you. But for me. Some people believe that when a woman shows her skin, she is inadvertently asking for sex. Asking to be looked at. Asking for objectification. Is it not possible that a woman's body is made for more than just sex? That maybe it's not about sex at all. That maybe we take our clothes off because we damn well want to. That maybe We have shamed women's bodies for so long that it's time we take a moment to see the beauty and wonder in the human body. Regardless of size and shape. That maybe it's time to see our bodies for what they truly are…miraculous creations of God. Here to give us the ability to express ourselves at our deepest levels. Maybe its time we stop judging the human body and start celebrating and honoring it instead. Take a moment today to take your clothes off and truly see your body. Feel your heart beating for you. Feel your lungs expanding for you. And for once instead of measuring it, thank your body for supporting every second of your beautiful life.
