A family which live at home on the MISSILE range are selling their unique $1.25 million property once used to protect the US from nuclear attack. In 2013 Jim and Anna Cleveland became the first civilian owners of a piece of the Stanley R Mickelsen Safeguard Complex located in north east North Dakota, USA. Originally the property was part of the safeguard missile system consisting of the central site and surrounded by four Sprint missile sites. It was designed as a last line of defence to shoot down Russian intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) fired over the North Pole. Uniquely the property is part of the only completed safeguard complex in the US, there were plans for others but they were never finished, making it a one-of-a-kind home which can also withstand a nuclear blast. Potential buyers can find the property on the website www.uniquepropertyworld.com. Jim, 57, and Anna, 44, met online after both their partners sadly lost their battles with cancer. Their meeting brought together a combined total of 13 children - Jim¿s five, and Anna¿s seven, along with their own daughter they had together. Now with all the family as one, having adopted each other¿s kids, they need a big family home, so the missile base seemed ideal. Over the years the family have loved living at the once deadly domicile, with their daughter even holding her wedding ceremony on the site.
