Whale puts out man's cigarette in China, splashes water on him - footage goes viral

A surprising moment at Dalian Sunasia Ocean World in China recently went viral, showing a whale extinguishing a cigarette lit by a man in the whale interaction area.
The man, carrying a white plastic bag, was seen lighting a cigarette while standing with his back to the whale's pool, despite being in a no-smoking area.
As a staff member rushed to stop him, a nearby whale suddenly jumped and sprayed a stream of water that extinguished the cigarette in mid-smoke, leaving the man visibly frightened.
"At Dalian Ocean World, a man ignored staff warnings and continued smoking. At that very moment, a whale from behind sprayed a stream of water - extinguishing his cigarette in the coolest way possible," was the caption of the video on X.
It turns out that the incident was staged as a rehearsal for a promotional fire safety video, reports the Telegraph.
On Sunday, a Beijing News reporter confirmed with the aquarium that the viral video was actually a test for a fire safety awareness campaign.
All individuals featured were staff members and some staged scenes were filmed during filming. /Telegraph/
