Bus carrying Russian tourists overturns in Turkey, at least 18 injured

A bus carrying Russian tourists overturned in Turkey, injuring at least 18 people.

The accident occurred as the bus was transporting the group of tourists from the airport to the coastal town of Side, a popular holiday destination on the Turkish Riviera.

According to initial reports, the bus veered off the road and overturned for reasons still unclear.

Local authorities have immediately launched an investigation to determine the causes of the accident, while emergency teams have intervened at the scene to rescue and evacuate the injured.

The injured have been taken to nearby hospitals and, according to medical sources, most of them are out of danger, although some have suffered more serious injuries.

The Russian Consulate in Turkey has contacted Turkish authorities to offer assistance and support to its citizens affected by the accident.

This incident has once again raised concerns about the safety of road transport for tourists in Turkey, especially during the summer season when traffic is more intense.

Turkish authorities have promised a full investigation and additional measures to ensure safer travel for foreign visitors. /Telegraph/
