The Mayor of Gjilan, Alban Hyseni, and the members of the Municipal Assembly were sworn in on Wednesday, at the inaugural meeting, which was led by the oldest member, Isa Agushi.

"Despite the fact that we come from different political entities, our common mission is to protect the interests of the municipality of Gjilan and its citizens based on the laws and bylaws in force," said Agushi.


Upon taking the oath, the Mayor of the Municipality, Alban Hyseni, during his address to the assembly members, said that more than before the formal act of swearing in, today we are facing a moment of reflection, responsibility and hope, reports the Telegraph.

"Today, being in front of each of you, I feel very proud, because our city has good, smart and hardworking citizens, who believe in their institutions and the future of the country. It is precisely on this moral and social foundation that our vision is built," said Mayor Hyseni.

He emphasized that the Municipality of Gjilan has already begun a real transformation, which is not measured only by kilometer length or square meter of construction, but is more measured by new opportunities for people.

"In this regard, the new boulevard that is being built is becoming the modern soul of the city, the stadium is a space of sporting and youth pride, the flows project that has a great impact on improving the quality of our lives, the sewage plant, which after a long time will guarantee the end of basic problems, affordable and social housing, a strong hand for families in need but also those who want a new beginning. The medical school, after 20 years, is a place that will prepare new generations of professionals, to continue with the sports hall, the cultural center, the bus station and dozens of other projects", said Mayor Hyseni, after taking the oath. /Telegrafi/
