Tetova's clinical hospital lacks 400 health workers, claims the Independent Doctors' Union

The health workers from Tetova Clinical Hospital organized a peaceful protest this morning for about half an hour, to express their concerns about the working conditions and the quality of the health service in their hospital, Telergafi Macedonia reports.
They want to be paid better, equipped with modern equipment and have a non-selective hiring process. One of the main problems they highlighted is the lack of health personnel.
"Our health system has a clear shortage of personnel. For example, we have 470 hospital beds and we should have three doctors per bed, but we currently have a shortage of over 400 health workers. This shortage makes it impossible to provide quality health care to our patients," said Arif Ibrahim from the Independent Doctors' Union.
At the same time, they demand that Macedonia improve health standards to match European norms and ensure quality health care and the safety of patients and health workers.
The protest was organized on Health Day, emphasizing the importance of this issue for the health community. /Telegraph/
