The American ambassador in Berlin, Richard Grenell, will visit Pristina and Belgrade this week, the officials of this embassy have confirmed for Radio Free Europe.
For now, it has been confirmed to REL that Grenell, who is also the special envoy of the American President Donald Trump for the Kosovo-Serbia peace talks, will meet with the President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, on Thursday.
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has warned that he will meet with Grenell on Friday morning in Belgrade. Vucic told Serbian public television from the World Economic Forum, which is being held in Davos, Switzerland, that the United States of America is ready to listen to Belgrade's demands and problems regarding Kosovo.
Grenell will visit Kosovo and Serbia a few days after mediating an agreement between the two parties with the German company "Lufthansa" for the establishment of the airline Pristina - Belgrade.

American Ambassador Grenell stayed in Kosovo in October 2019, when he met with Thaci and other political leaders in Kosovo. From the presidency of Kosovo, they said at that time that Grenell has declared that the final agreement between Kosovo and Serbia will establish the basis for economic development and will contribute to the well-being of all citizens.
In the talks with Albin Kurti, the leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement and the representative for the new government, Grenell emphasized that the lack of an agreement between Kosovo and Serbia is the main obstacle for foreign investments in the economy of Kosovo.
