09/10/2025 23:27- Candidates for Pristina talk about possible post-election coalitions

The candidate of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Përparim Rama, said that he is open to cooperation with all parties that aim for the good of Pristina.

"I am open to coalitions with any party that wants the best for the capital," Rama declared on Debat Plus.

Meanwhile, the candidate of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Hajrulla Çeku, expressed himself more exclusionarily, emphasizing that he will not cooperate with PDK and LDK.

"I will form a coalition with all other parties, except PDK and LDK," said Çeku.

Meanwhile, the candidate of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Urani Ismaili, emphasized that he does not see the issue of coalitions as partisan, but as cooperation for the good of the city.

"I see big conceptual differences, I don't have a party affiliation. I will cooperate with every party and every expert for the good of Pristina. I will accept a coalition only for concrete projects for Pristina... If the coalition is for the issue of Pristina 2035 like Çeku's and this one of Përparim Rama's, not. I present my platforms and I did not end the cooperation with anyone. I will present my platforms. It is important that the next 4 years are feasible projects, the coalition for me is a coalition to realize what we have entered", said Ismaili.

09/10/2025 22:47- Çeku warns Rama about relations with Japan, Rama replies: You have ruined us with America

During the debate on the Pristina Hospital, Vetëvendosje's Hajrulla Çeku addressed the LDK candidate, Përparim Rama, telling him not to continue with excuses for not building the hospital, as "you are risking ruining our relations with Japan."

Rama immediately hit back, accusing Vetëvendosje of "ruining our relations with America and Europe, and now it is worrying about its friends."

"You have no problem breaking up with friends, you have broken up with America, with all of Europe, and you are talking about breaking up with friends? You are the ones who have broken up our partnership with our main friends. In every sphere, you are blocking the Kosovo Parliament," Rama declared to Çeku.

Rama added that in every case where there was an opportunity, the central government has obstructed the work of the Municipality of Pristina.

"Where you could block us, you blocked us - it's a fact. You are blocking, it's a fact," Rama emphasized.

Meanwhile, Minister Hajrulla Çeku responded by saying that Rama cannot simultaneously declare that he has transformed Pristina and that it has been blocked for four years.

"Within 10 minutes, he is able to say I have transformed it, I am the head of major projects, and to say they have blocked me for four years, now it is one or the other, either you have transformed Pristina or we have blocked you. I think neither is true," Çeku declared.

09/10/2025 22:37- Ismaili "challenges" Çeku on the three pillars of public transport

During the debate on Debat Plus for mayor of Pristina, the candidate of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Uran Ismaili, criticized Hajrullah Çeku from the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV) for the lack of concrete solutions in the field of public transport.

Ismaili said that during the presentation of his vision for transportation, Çeku did not offer practical proposals.

"When we came up with concrete solutions, now I think I understand a little why there is a need for so much conflict. Because, I listened to Mr. Çeku and expected him to say something about public transport, transport in general. And he said that there are documents and that's where it all ended," Çeku said.

He added that organized public transport should be based on three main global pillars: time, cost, and convenience for citizens.

Focusing on these pillars, Ismaili criticized the way Çeku handled the topic.

"Oh God, wrong, let me explain. You started the rhetoric of the analysis... I asked the question without seeing what he was talking about for a solution and he made a rhetorical order that said nothing. A public transport, when oriented, has three concepts: The time with which the citizen calculates, the cost and the suitability...", said Ismaili.

Çeku, for his part, said that any organization of public transport must begin with an analysis of the movement of citizens.

"Every organization of public transport is, first and foremost, an analysis of the movement of citizens...", said Çeku.

09/10/2025 22:31- Çeku challenges Rama for new buses

The current mayor of Pristina and candidate for the new mandate from the LDK, Përparim Rama, has emphasized that the new transportation in the capital is now a reality, mentioning the integrated ticket, the digital wallet and digital signs.

"Pristina's new transport is a reality today. The integrated ticket is a reality today. Contracts are not in the private sector and unification is a reality. The digital wallet is a reality, the digital signs are a reality. Have you ever taken a bus that today you can go from one point to another in each village with a unified integrated ticket? This is a reality, don't deceive the citizens - most of them know this and use it every day," Rama declared on Debat Plus.

Hajrulla Çeku of LVV criticized Rama regarding the agreement for new buses with the EBRD, asking why no new buses have arrived.

"The agreement with the EBRD why no new buses have arrived, the agreement with the EBRD with 30 buses why no buses have arrived," he emphasized.

Çeku, among other things, called his government four years of failure and deception.

Rama emphasized that developments in public transportation are visible and the citizens of Pristina see this.

09/10/2025 21:43- "He added points illegally", Progress Rama accuses Çeku of interfering in municipal processes

The current Mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama, has published a document that, according to him, proves how the Minister of Culture, Hajrulla Çeku, has blocked works on "Agim Ramadani" Street.

Rama said that after the tender announcement by the Municipality of Pristina, Çeku had interfered in the regulations by adding new points, with the aim of preventing the continuation of the project.

"The honest boy, this honest one, on April 22, 2024, with his sincerity, seven months after we had announced the tender, illegally added points to block Pristina. We have respected all the requirements of the protective zone, but he intervened to stop the project," Rama declared in an interview with RTV Dukagjini.

According to him, these actions have resulted in important projects for the citizens of the capital not being implemented for four years.

09/10/2025 21:50- Uran Ismaili: I have no bigger project than solving the problems of Pristina

The candidate for mayor of Pristina, Uran Ismaili, in the debate for the capital city criticized his opponents for offering projects that, according to him, are unrealizable and utopian and were used only to win votes.

He said that projects like the "Outer Ring" are plans that cost hundreds of millions of euros and have been recycled for more than 25 years by municipal governments, including the current mayor, Përparim Rama.

According to Ismail, these projects are not included in the municipality's budget and do not have the financial or technical capacity to be implemented at present. “Such plans are offered only for use in campaigns,” he said.

Ismaili said that his biggest project is solving the daily problems of citizens.

09/10/2025 21:36- Çeku: Rama is seeking a second term, but will still complain about the deadlock

The candidate of the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV) for mayor of Pristina, Hajrullah Çeku, has criticized the current mayor and candidate of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Përparim Rama, accusing him of lacking an effective approach in solving the capital's infrastructure problems.

During the debate on Debat Plus, Çeku said that Rama is seeking a second term using the same justification for his failures during his government: "blockages".

"A mayor who, at the end of his mandate, for major projects with which he has gained the trust of the citizens, says they have blocked me. Now he is asking for another mandate, who knows, towards the end of the next mandate he will say they have blocked me again. The approach is very important because then when he does not know and does not want to solve problems, it is very easy to find excuses...", said Çeku.

09/10/2025 21:04- George Bush Square clashes with candidates for Pristina

In the election debate for the capital on Debat Plus, the candidate of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Përparim Rama, reacted to the accusations of the candidate of the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV), Hajrullah Çeku, regarding the construction of the "George Bush" square in Pristina.

Çeku claimed that the construction of this square involves legal violations.

"The contract for the square must pass the legality test," said Çeku.

But Rama has responded by rejecting these accusations and accusing his opponent of hypocrisy.

"This guy who calls himself the law, this guy who calls himself the law, does illegal things," Rama said.

Meanwhile, the PDK candidate for mayor of Pristina, Uran Ismaili, has criticized his opponents for a lack of cooperation and constant clashes that, according to him, have left the city in chaos.

Ismaili said that despite opportunities to work together on important projects, some of his political opponents have failed to find common solutions, leaving citizens to suffer the consequences of these clashes.

"Cooperation is not weakness, it is not toxic — it is a necessity for the good of the capital and its citizens. I will do this without party differences," Ismaili declared.

09/10/2025 21:01- "A traffic-free, clean and safe Pristina" - Ismaili promises concrete solutions and governance for all, regardless of party affiliation

The Democratic Party of Kosovo's candidate for mayor of Pristina, Uran Ismaili, emphasized in tonight's debate on Debat Plus that he has been presenting concrete solutions to the capital's biggest problems for months.

He said that his vision for Pristina is based on concrete work and feasible plans that will begin immediately after taking office.

"I have been presenting immediate solutions for months. For a Pristina without traffic, for a clean Pristina, for a safe Pristina, without vagrants. So, a Pristina that is functional for everyone, and from October 13th, I will start working on it," Ismaili declared.

"As mayor, I will be a mayor who works with everyone, regardless of party lines, with everyone just to achieve the best for Pristina," he added.

09/10/2025 20:52- Rama: My vision for Pristina is planned for the next 50 years

The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) candidate for mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama, has emphasized that his vision for the capital is built on long-term planning and sustainable urban development.

He said that this vision was presented four years ago and foresees the development of Pristina for the next 20 to 50 years.

"I presented my vision four years ago, it is a long-term vision. It is planned for the next 20-50 years of the capital. So Pristina is developing with proper plans with clear maps. To date, we have accomplished a great deal in the capital. Major projects that we are pushing forward are: the urban island, which connects Arbërija with the center - as well as the Dardani underpass with Calabri - the Veterrnik penetration - the big square - the Agim Ramadani underpass...", Rama said, among other things, on Debat Plus.

09/10/2025 20:51- Çeku: Pristina does not have a clear direction, I offer vision and actions from the first day of government

The Vetëvendosje Movement's candidate for mayor of Pristina, Hajrulla Çeku, has stated that the capital currently does not have a clear development direction, while he offers a government with a vision and concrete plan for the future of Pristina.

"I offer a government that has a vision, but also a concrete plan of measures and actions that we must commit to in order to achieve our common vision for Pristina. Today, Pristina does not have a clear direction of where we should go, what our future is, what Pristina should be like in 10 years. Therefore, this is what I am offering - a vision with measures, actions, projects and contacts that will be undertaken from the first day of government," Çeku declared on Debat Plus.

He emphasized that his experience in central government and the results achieved so far make him a serious candidate to move Pristina forward.

"I will commit to solving the problems of Pristina from the ground up. We need, no matter how basic and banal it may sound, to complete once and for all the sewage and atmospheric sewage network, to complete the water supply system, and to achieve a waste management and cleanliness system in Pristina, that is, elementary," he declared.

09/10/2025 20:35- Candidates for Pristina tell each other's strengths

The three candidates for mayor of Pristina have evaluated each other's strengths on Debat Plus.

"The design for the hamam bar won an international award (Rama). While for Mr. Ismaili, it's the red velvet cake they make at Mattise, they make it very good," said Hajrullah Çeku about his opponents.

"One is very strong in sabotage and the other is very strong in blockages," said Përparim Rama about Ismail and Çeku.

"Both are able to express their opinions. In the way they believe in them. So they have their beliefs and they have expressed them, and I distinguish them in these," said Uran Ismaili about the LDK and LVV candidates.
