Sandra Bullock talks about her sister's support during difficult times: She told me I had to take care of myself and my children

Sandra Bullock spoke about her sister's support during the difficult period she experienced.

Bullock recalled her sister Gesina Bullock-Prado's warning while caring for her partner Bryan Randall as he battled amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

When asked what she learned about herself as a caregiver, Bullock said she realized she had always been a caregiver and that she wasn't taking care of the person who took care of everyone else.

"It was a big wake-up call for me. I'm not good at asking for help, but I needed help and I needed to ask for it in a safe way," she said.

She added that several people came to her aid, pointing her in the right direction towards nurses and care.

"In her concern for me, she worried me, saying, 'If you don't start taking care of yourself, something is going to happen to you and what's going to happen to your daughters Lou and Lai,'" Bullock said of her sister's warning.

She also said she learned she has an amazing sister and that she is still growing. Her partner, Randall, passed away in 2023 after a three-year battle with ALS.
