California accident leaves highway covered in beer cans and barrels
A multi-vehicle accident on a California highway caused damage to the trailer of a large truck, spilling cans and kegs of beer all over the road.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident, which involved at least two large trucks, happened just before 3 a.m. Tuesday in the westbound lanes of the 210 Freeway in the Irwindale area.
The accident caused one of the trailers to break open and spill cans and kegs of Coors Light beer into several lanes of traffic.
All westbound lanes were initially closed after the accident, but cleanup crews managed to move debris into the two right lanes, allowing traffic to pass on the left side.
Drivers were advised to use alternative routes while cleanup operations continued.
Initial reports indicated there were no serious injuries from the incident, but one person received treatment for a minor wound. /Telegraph/
