Ukraine strikes two Russian oil refineries and military ships in the Black Sea

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out long-range strikes overnight against several strategic targets on Russian territory, more than 1,300 kilometers from the front line.

According to Zelensky, one of the targets hit was the Bashneft-Novoyl oil refinery in Bashkortostan.

He also said that the Slavneft-YANOS refinery in the Yaroslavl region, about 700 kilometers from the border with Ukraine, was also hit.

The Ukrainian president added that during the operation, two Russian military patrol ships were also hit in the Black Sea, as well as vessels that, according to Kiev, belong to the so-called "shadow fleet", which is used by Russia to transport oil despite international sanctions.

Russian authorities have not yet officially confirmed Ukraine's claims and there is no independent verification of the extent of damage caused by the attacks.

This is one of the deepest attacks reported from Ukraine into Russian territory, as Kiev continues to target energy infrastructure and other strategic targets related to Russia's war financing and logistics. /Telegraph/
