Siri drives a quarter of Wolfram Alpha's turnover

As The New York Times writes, approximately 25% of the traffic Wolfram Alpha processes comes from Apple's Siri app.

Indeed, Apple announced the start of its partnership with Wolfram Alpha during the unveiling of the iPhone 4S and the Siri service. In contrast to "ordinary" Internet searchers, which based on the question, seek the information that is available on the Internet, Wolfram Alpha uses its own data and the corresponding logic to "calculate" the answer to the users' questions. Siri uses Wolfram Alpha services to provide users with answers to questions posed in "everyday" language.

But Apple is not the only company that uses Wolfram Alpha for its services, Microsoft also uses this company's technology, as well as a number of other companies that use special versions of the service for their own needs. /Telegraph/
