Jim Curtis, Jennifer Aniston's partner, has given a rare account of their relationship, which has lasted about a year and a half, also showing how they manage to resolve conflicts and difficult situations between them.
Curtis, 50, spoke with great admiration for his 57-year-old partner during an interview on The Jamie Kern Lima Show on Monday, just two days before the couple make their first public appearance together at a book launch in New York, writes DailyMail .
During the interview, host Jamie Kern Lima asked the hypnotherapist if he and Aniston use a prayer he had previously shared with the public: "I'm sorry. I hear you. Thank you. I love you." Lima had previously revealed that this prayer had helped her in her relationship with her husband.
“We meditate a lot, we talk a lot,” Curtis replied, before clarifying: “We don’t use this specific prayer. We have used it. But it’s very simple.”
He further explained that his relationship with Aniston requires a somewhat different approach, as their relationship is still relatively new. According to him, the prayer Lima mentioned is more appropriate for couples who have been together for many years or even decades, as it can help them lower emotional barriers.
"Jen and I have been together for a year and a half, so this tool is not the first one we turn to...", he explained, adding that they focus more on "meditation, acceptance, and understanding."
"Things like that. In the honeymoon phase, the tools you use don't have to be like giant sledgehammers," Curtis added, referring to the fact that in the beginning of a relationship, conflicts can be resolved with softer approaches.
During the interview, Curtis also spoke enthusiastically about his relationship with Aniston, saying that things between them are going "really well."
"My experience with him is so consistent, open, caring, kind and loving," Curtis said of the "The Morning Show" star.
"I feel blessed to be in a relationship with someone who is so open-hearted, kind, and loving," he concluded.
