Another sabotage attempt prevented in Germany, explosive devices found near power lines

On September 2, explosive devices described as rocket-like damaged power lines at a substation in Brandenburg. On the same day, another incident was recorded at a substation near Bergheim, near Cologne.

The series of incidents has raised concerns in Germany about threats to critical infrastructure, particularly the power grid. Authorities are investigating whether the cases are linked or isolated incidents.

Damage or disruption of substations can cause significant consequences for energy supply, making this infrastructure a sensitive target in the event of deliberate acts of sabotage.
