Ukraine to receive Patriot missiles from US

Ukraine is expected to receive Patriot air defense missiles from the United States in the coming days, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced.

During a press conference, he said that he has also reached special agreements with European countries for new military supplies.

The Ukrainian leader explained that no exact dates have yet been determined, but additional PAC-3 missiles, used by Patriot systems, will be sent to Ukraine.

"I also had separate agreements with the Europeans. There are no concrete dates yet, but additional PAC-3 missiles will be provided," Zelensky declared.

The Ukrainian president emphasized that, in his opinion, the only advantage left to Russian President Vladimir Putin is ballistic missiles.

"Russia is left with nothing else. Ukraine has been strengthened both on the battlefield and in air defense," he said.

According to him, the current situation presents a "unique window of opportunity" for Ukraine, which should be used to increase its defensive capabilities and repel Russian attacks.

Patriot systems are considered among the most advanced air defenses in the world and are capable of intercepting ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and fighter jets. /Telegraph/
