Turqia dëbon tre gazetarë gjermanë

Over the years Turkey has become a hotspot for Arab journalists and broadcasters and now hosts more than 15 tv channels run by independent or opponent media to various governments around the middle east region. For many broadcasters who have been forced to leave their countries due to the political situation, violence, war, repression or lack of press freedom, Turkey has given them a safe place to report from and to be able to work relatively freely and give an independent or opposition view of the important issues not being reported or not able to be reported from within their countries. However the recent murder of prominent Washington Post journalist and Saudi critic Jamal Khashoggi, murdered inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul after entering for a routine document visit has created a wave of uneasiness amongst the community of journalists, politicians, activists and students working to report information about the situations in their countries. Ministri gjerman i Punëve të Jashtme, Heiko Maas, ka kundërshtuar vendimin e Turqisë për të dëbuar tre gazetarë gjermanë.

Maas tha se vendimi është i papranueshëm.

Turqia iu dha 10 ditë kohë gazetarëve për t'u larguar nga vendi dhe kjo është hera e parë që Turqia ka refuzuar zyrtarisht akreditimin e gazetarëve të huaj.

Ky vendim ka rigjallëruar shqetësime rreth ndalimit të lirisë së shtypit në Turqi.

Sipas BBC, përcjell Telegrafi, dhjetëra gazetarë turq janë burgosur për lidhje të dyshimta me një grup që qeveria e fajëson për një grusht-shteti të dështuar që ndodhi më 15 korrik 2016.

Më shumë se 100 mijë persona u larguan nga puna në sektorin publik, një spastrim qeveritar të simpatizantëve të Fetullah Gylen, një klerik që u fajësua për përpjekjen e grushtit të shtetit.

Thomas Seibert, gazetar i Tagesspiegel, Jörg Brase, shefi i zyrës së ZDF dhe Halil Gülbeyaz, gazetar i TV NDR janë tre gazetarët e arrestuar.

"Pa një shtyp kritik nuk ka demokraci. Ne do të vazhdojmë fushatën që gazetarët të janë në gjendje të punojnë pa kufizime – në Turqi dhe në vende tjera”, i tha Mass gazetës Tagesspiegel. /Telegrafi/
