Gashi says Sejdiu's proposal for President is Abdixhiku's "idiocy"
LDK MP, Arben Gashi, has explained the reasons why they do not support Bekim Sejdiu's candidacy for President of Kosovo.
On Debat Plus, Gashi mentioned several reasons, including the lack of balance of powers, Sejdiu's constitutional credentials and some decisions, as well as the procedural way in which the candidacy was proposed within the party.
"The first element is the balance of powers that is missing, the second is the element of constitutional credentials and the decisions that he has made, which are scandalous, while the third is the procedural element within the party, which is wrong," said Gashi.
He also criticized the way in which, according to him, the candidate was selected, saying that Abdixhiku should have known that some MPs, including Avdullah Hoti, would not support Sejdiu.
"I think it's idiotic in action (by Mr. Abdixhiku), but because they've been around for days, there are MPs who have this particular name and have personal reasons not to vote for it, they've been around for days, Avdullah Hoti doesn't vote for him under any circumstances, why did they find that name. It's political, there are the first five political reasons," he declared.
Gashi also described the decision to nominate Sejdiu as politically wrong, linking this to the LDK's election result.
"The person who destroyed the party, lost 100,000 votes, halved the number of MPs, and is being rewarded with the presidency. What political logic is there? Why do we exist in politics if we do this?" said Gashi.
