The New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern expects measures will remain in place for about four weeks, and has said there will be zero tolerance for people ignoring the restrictions, with police able to enforce them if required. Zelanda e Re është në recesionin e saj më të thellë prej tre dekadash, pas masave të rrepta në përgjigje të pandemisë COVID-19.

Mes muajit prill-qershor, ekonomia e vendit u tkurr më 12.2 për qind.

Ky është recensioni i parë i Zelandës së Re që nga kriza financiare botërore dhe më i keqi që nga viti 1987, kur filloi sistemi aktual i matjes.

Megjithatë, qeveria shpreson që përgjigjja e saj ndaj pandemisë do të çojë në një rimëkëmbje të shpejtë, përcjell Telegrafi.
