Brooke Shields talks about intimate scenes at age 11
American actress Brooke Shields has spoken openly about the pressures and expectations she faced as a child, saying that growing up 'in front of the cameras' deeply affected her personal and professional life.
Shields first appeared on camera as a baby, and as a child she took on roles that attracted great attention.
She singles out the film "Pretty Baby" (1978), in which she starred at the age of 11 - a role that later became very controversial and, according to her, contributed to her being labeled as a 'sex symbol' for years, an image from which she found it difficult to break away.
Now 60 and also known for "The Blue Lagoon," Shields says that early projects defined her path in the entertainment industry and created expectations that didn't always align with what she wanted to do.
As a turning point in his career, he cited his appearance in the series "Friends" (1996), where he played a comic character with an obsessive fan, and says that it was there that he realized he felt better in comedy than in roles where he was treated as an object.
"If I could, I would have returned to comedy much earlier," she said.
In the documentary "Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields," the actress emotionally recalls childhood decisions, including roles with intimate scenes; speaking as a mother about what she would accept for her child, she said briefly: "No."
She also admitted that she had a hard time explaining some decisions to her daughters and that she is still reviewing some things, although without simple answers. /Telegraph/
