US carries out new wave of attacks on Iran, releases footage from 90-minute operation

The United States has launched a new wave of airstrikes against Iran, releasing video footage of the military operation that lasted about 90 minutes.

According to the US Central Command (CENTCOM), the target of the attacks was Greater Tunb Island, a strategic point in the Persian Gulf.

According to the US military, coastal defense systems, cruise missile positions, and missile launch sites on the island were hit during the operation.

The attacks were carried out with precision munitions, with the aim of neutralizing Iranian military capabilities in the area near the Strait of Hormuz.

CENTCOM also released footage of the attacks, saying the operation was part of efforts to protect freedom of navigation and deter Iranian attacks on merchant ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

These attacks come at a time when tensions between Washington and Tehran have escalated significantly.

Iran has threatened to block energy exports from the region, while the US has intensified military operations against Iranian targets along the coast and on strategic islands in the Persian Gulf. /Telegraph/
