Sometimes, he could not sleep because he felt like he was suffocating due to his weight."nnDoctors say Luis Manuel is currently the normal weight for a nine-year-old boy even though he is still two months short of his first birthday.nnHe has undergone a series of tests and, although it has not yet been confirmed, doctors believe he might suffer from Prader-Willi syndrome.nnThe genetic disorder is due to a loss of function of specific genes which causes sufferers to feel constantly hungry, often leading to obesity and type 2 diabetes.nnDoctors in Tecoman say Luis Manuel would be the first ever recorded case of the condition in the city.nnMario Gonzalez, the boy's father, said he was worried about the health implications for his son.nnHe said: "In some cases, kids have died because of a heart attack due to being so overweight."nnThe family have opened a bank account to enable well-wishers to donate towards his care and people can also contact Isabel Pantoja on social media.nnMr Gonzalez said the appeal would keep a proper record so people could see their money was being spent on Luis Manuel's treatment.nn"All help given for him, small or big, is good for him," he said.nn(ends)

Një vogëlush nga Meksika ka fituar vëmendjen e medieve botërore për shkak të peshës, dhe raportohet se ai peshon sa një 9-vjeçar dhe vazhdimisht thotë se është i uritur.

Luis Manuel 10-muajsh nga qyteti Tecoman në pjesën perëndimore të Meksikës, ka habitur mjekët për faktin se peshon mbi 30 kilogramë, transmeton Telegrafi.

Si 9-muajsh nëna e tij detyrohej t’i vishte rroba për një fëmijë 2-vjeçar, pasi që linjat e tij trupore dita ditës zgjeroheshin.

Mjekët e brengosur për gjendjen e tij shëndetësore besojnë se ai vuan nga sindroma Prader-Willi, një çrregullim që mund t’i shkaktoj vogëlushit sulm në zemër.

Gjendja e tij e rrallë gjenetike, e bën të voglin të ndihet vazhdimisht i uritur, duke ia tkurrur muskujt mbipesha.

Ndërkaq familja e tij e varfër kanë nisur një fushatë, përmes të cilës kërkojnë donacione për ta trajtuar birin e tyre.

Besohet se Luis mund të jetë fëmija më i shëndoshë në botë, megjithatë, nuk ekzistojnë të dhëna zyrtare që do ta mbështeste këtë teori. /Telegrafi/
