US President Donald Trump said he does not believe Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky would be willing to travel to Moscow to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

During a public conversation, Trump then turned to Zelensky himself with the question of whether he would agree to hold talks with Putin in the Russian capital.

The Ukrainian president responded humorously, but referring to the security situation, that such a visit would be difficult.

"It's difficult. There are a lot of Ukrainian drones there," Zelensky said, alluding to the frequent drone attacks that Ukraine has carried out on targets in Moscow and its surroundings.

Trump agreed with this assessment, briefly responding "that's true. It's hard to go to Moscow."

The exchange of comments comes at a time when international discussions continue on the possibility of resuming peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, while the war between the two countries continues with no signs of an imminent resolution. /Telegraph/
