Ukrainian "Flamingo" missiles hit Russian strategic plant in Volgograd

Ukrainian Flamingo FP-5 missiles hit the Russian military factory Titan-Barrikades in the city of Volgograd, one of the most important facilities of the Russian military-industrial complex.
The attack on the factory comes as part of Ukraine's efforts to strike Russian defense industry facilities and limit the production capacity of weapons used in the war against it.
"Any Russian defense facility serving the war against Ukraine is a legitimate target for our long-term sanctions," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on social media.
The factory specializes in the production of missile and artillery equipment, including rocket launchers, heavy military systems, and components for some of Russia's most advanced missile systems.
According to reports, the plant produces and develops components for the Iskander-M missile systems, Yars and Topol-M strategic missiles, which are part of Russia's missile arsenal. The factory is also involved in the production of mobile platforms and ground equipment used to deploy and transport missiles.
Titan-Barrikades has a long history dating back to the beginning of the 20th century and has been for decades one of the leading enterprises of the Soviet and then Russian heavy military industry. During the Soviet period, the factory was involved in the production of artillery systems and later increasingly oriented towards missile technologies and equipment for ballistic missiles.
The facility in Volgograd is considered strategically important because it supplies the Russian military with equipment directly related to its missile capabilities. Due to its role in the defense industry, the company has been included in international sanctions lists. /Telegraph/
