Rita Ora before the concert in Ohrid: I can't wait to sing and dance with Albanian fans

World-famous Albanian star Rita Ora will perform on August 1 in Ohrid, in one of the closest concerts of her summer tour for audiences from Kosovo, Albania, North Macedonia and the wider Albanian-speaking region.

In a short interview with Telegrafi, the artist spoke about the emotions of returning to her roots, the connection with Albanian fans, and what the audience can expect from her performance at the "Biljanini Izvori" stadium in Ohrid.

Rita said that performing in this part of the world always has a special feeling for her, because of her family's history and the connection she feels with the people of the region.

"Regardless of where I perform, returning to this part of the world gives me a completely unique feeling, because this is where a huge part of my family's history began. Sharing my music with people from all over the region, who I feel so connected to and who have supported me throughout my career, means a lot to me. I can't wait," said Rita Ora.

Speaking about the concert in Ohrid, she promised an evening filled with energy, surprises, and songs that the audience knows and sings with great enthusiasm.

"A big party. We're preparing a show full of energy, with lots of surprises and all the songs that people want to sing along to. I always want people to leave with the feeling that they really lived the moment, that they had the best night and, hopefully, made new friends," she said.

Rita Ora, who has publicly expressed pride in her Albanian heritage for years, said that performing in front of Albanian-speaking audiences from different countries in the region is always emotional.

"I am extremely proud of my heritage. Seeing people from different places, but with the same heritage, coming together through music is truly something very beautiful and special. The support I have received over the years has been extraordinary and is something I am truly grateful for. It is always emotional to feel that connection up close," said the artist.

Asked about her connection with Kosovo and Albanian fans, Rita emphasized that this support has accompanied her since the beginning of her career.

"Since the beginning of my career, they have given me so much love and encouragement, and this support continues to inspire me. Wherever I go in the world, I meet fans from Kosovo and the Albanian community, and there is always so much warmth. They make me feel at home, wherever I am," she said.

The artist added that, although she has performed on some of the biggest stages in the world, concerts near the Albanian community have a different emotional weight.

"Every audience has its own energy, but performing in front of the Albanian community definitely feels more personal. There's a sense of familiarity and excitement that comes with that. The passion of the audience is incredible and I can feel that connection from the moment I step on stage," said Rita Ora.

In addition to music, Rita has built an extensive career in fashion, television and film. She said that at this stage of her creative journey, the greatest inspiration comes from the desire to not stand still and to try new forms of artistic expression.

"I never want to stand still creatively and I love finding new ways to tell stories. Whether it's through music, acting, fashion or television, I love to push myself and try things outside my comfort zone. Collaborating with brilliant creative people always inspires me and helps me evolve," she said.

Rita Ora also spoke about the increased visibility of Albanian artists on the international scene, describing this period as very exciting for Albanian talent.

"I think it's an incredibly exciting time. There are so many talented Albanian artists who are making their mark around the world and I really enjoy seeing that. It shows that talent has no boundaries and I hope we are helping to inspire the next generation to dream even bigger," she said.

Finally, Rita Ora also had a message for fans from Kosovo and the Albanian-speaking region who plan to travel to Ohrid for her concert on August 1st.

"Thank you for all the love and support over the years. It really means a lot to me. I can't wait to see you all in Ohrid. We will sing, dance and create unforgettable memories together," concluded Rita Ora.
