Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has stated that the Israeli military is acting in accordance with what he called "the vision of the prophets," warning that any force that attacks Israel will face consequences.

Addressing the soldiers, Katz said that Israel "has already been to these places" and that it will continue its military actions.

"You are fulfilling the vision of the prophets. Just open the Bible and read what this is based on," he said.

Katz also claimed that villages near the border with Lebanon are being systematically destroyed and warned Israel's opponents in the region.

"Anyone who raises a hand against the State of Israel - in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria or anywhere else - knows that there will be a price to pay," the Israeli minister said.

According to him, the first consequences for those who confront Israel are the loss of territory and homes.
