Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of one of Hamas' founding figures and a former informant for the Israeli security agency Shin Bet, has caused strong reactions in the United States after a speech with harsh statements against Muslims.

During a Jewish-American summit held last weekend in Los Angeles, Yousef called for Muslims to leave the United States, using extremely offensive and derogatory language.

"I don't want Muslims in America. Get out of here, go to the shitholes you came from and reform your countries," he declared. His speech was met with applause from some in the audience, media reports said.

Yousef continued with even harsher statements against the Islamic faith. "I don't care at all about the Quran, your prophet, and your entire faith. You disgust me," he said during the event.

The summit was organized by a group of Orthodox Jews and supported by major pro-Israel organizations.

Among the participants were the Israeli ambassador to the US, Yechiel Leiter, as well as the US ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee.

Both diplomats delivered speeches during the event, which has already become the subject of controversy due to Youssef's statements and the reaction of part of the public to them.

Who is Mosab Hassan Yousef?

Mosab Hassan Yousef is the eldest son of Sheikh Hassan Youssef, one of Hamas' founding figures. He grew up in the West Bank and, at a young age, was recruited by the Israeli security service, the Shin Bet.

According to his account, Yousef collaborated with the Shin Bet for about a decade, from 1997 to 2007, providing information that, according to him, helped the Israeli services prevent attacks and arrest militants.

Yousef then left the region and settled in the United States. His decision to cooperate with Israel caused strong reactions within his family, who publicly disowned him. In the US, he converted to Christianity.

His story became internationally known through the documentary "The Green Prince", released in 2014. The film deals with Yousef's life, his collaboration with the Shin Bet and his relationship with former Israeli intelligence officer, Gonen Ben Yitzhak.

Today, Yousef is one of Hamas's most outspoken critics and a powerful voice against Islam. He regularly appears in debates, political forums, and public events in the United States and Israel, where he has made numerous controversial statements about Hamas, Islam, and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. /Telegraph/
