Israel releases footage of attacks in Lebanon
Israel has released footage of airstrikes carried out earlier in Lebanon, claiming to have hit targets linked to the militant group Hezbollah.
The Israeli Air Force said the strikes targeted two command centers in the Bekaa region, where, it said, Hezbollah members were operating.
The Israeli military said the operation was part of a response to the killing of four Israeli soldiers.
According to Israeli authorities, "dozens of Hezbollah terrorists" were killed during the attacks, while Lebanese officials have reported that women and children were among the victims.
Meanwhile, a US official announced that Israel and Hezbollah have agreed to a ceasefire, which took effect at 1:00 p.m., our local time.
The Israeli army has announced that it has carried out more than 150 attacks on Lebanese territory since midnight, while tensions between the parties have continued to rise after the latest escalation of the conflict. /Telegraph/
