Iran has released for the first time images of the site of the residence of the late Iranian supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, following a serious attack.

In the released video, only ruins and large piles of debris are seen, while the building appears almost completely destroyed.

According to reports, on February 28, when the attack occurred, Khamenei was in his office.

The new footage has been released at a time when Iran is holding funeral and memorial ceremonies.

The attack on the residence of the Iranian supreme leader was part of a series of strikes on important targets in Iran, as tensions between Tehran and its adversaries have reached high levels.

Iranian authorities have not yet provided full details of the damage and the fate of those who were in the complex at the time of the attack. However, the release of the footage shows the vast extent of the destruction in the affected area. /Telegraph/
