Users of some of the largest artificial intelligence services have reported problems with their operation this afternoon.
Difficulties have been identified with OpenAI's ChatGPT, Google's Gemini, and xAI's Grok.
Downdetector has seen a sudden increase in reports of problems with ChatGPT, while during the afternoon similar problems have also been reported by users of other popular AI services.
However, the problems did not necessarily start at the same time and so far there is no confirmation that they are related.
Problems with Gemini and Grok too
Users of Google Gemini in several countries have reported errors, slow loading, and problems getting responses. Google has not yet announced the cause of the difficulties, nor has it confirmed that it is a major global outage.
Problems have also been reported with Grok, the chatbot from Elon Musk's xAI company. The official status page for the Grok Android app today announced that there are problems with the models. Downdetector has also recorded more than a thousand reports from users.
Some of the problems with Gemini and Grok lasted for a short time, while the situation changed during the afternoon.
It is not yet known whether the problems are related.
So far there is no evidence that the problems in different artificial intelligence services are caused by the same defect.
Also, no broader problems with the internet infrastructure have been reported that could explain the difficulties on several platforms simultaneously.
OpenAI, on its official status page, at the time of reporting had not identified any new incidents that matched the large number of current reports from ChatGPT users.
Earlier in the day, the company had reported a separate and short-term issue with ChatGPT Work Mode, which has since been resolved. /Telegrafi/
