Pakistani PM Sharif: US-Iran peace deal could be reached within 24 hours

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that a peace deal between the United States and Iran could be finalized within the next 24 hours, describing the current process as the moment when the parties are "closer than ever" to a solution.
According to Sharif, Pakistan, which is playing the role of mediator in the negotiations between Washington and Tehran, has already begun preparations for the electronic signing of the agreement immediately after it is reached.
He announced that after the signing, talks at a technical level are expected to take place next week, with the aim of implementing the details agreed upon by both parties.
"We are closer to a peace agreement than ever before. Its finalization is expected within the next 24 hours, while Pakistan is preparing for the electronic signing of the agreement immediately after that," Sharif declared.
The Pakistani Prime Minister thanked the United States and Iran for their engagement during the negotiations, as well as the countries of the region for their support for the diplomatic process.
"We are convinced that this historic agreement will create a strong foundation for lasting peace," he said.
If reached, the agreement would constitute a significant diplomatic development after months of tensions and intense negotiations between the two countries. /Telegraph/
