A 38-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman have been arrested in Munich on suspicion of attempting to set fire to premises in front of the headquarters of two defense companies overnight.

The targets of the attack were the technology group Rohde & Schwarz and the German drone manufacturer Helsing.

According to initial information, the damage is minimal, Euronews writes.

Police were notified around midnight by a witness who saw a person throwing incendiary devices from a moving vehicle towards a construction site. Investigators say two of the incendiary devices were activated.

A police patrol that quickly arrived at the scene extinguished the fire, while only minor material damage was reported. Shortly after the incident, police arrested the two suspects.

According to information from the German public broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk, these are Bulgarian citizens.

The company Rohde & Schwarz produces security and communication technology for state institutions and the military, while Helsing manufactures drones for military operations.

Details on the motive and background to the attack have not yet been released. /Telegraph/
